Blur, The Specials and New Order to perform at London Olympics closing ceremony concert
Blur, The Specials and New Order will perform a closing ceremony celebration concert for the 2012 London Olympics.
Fresh off the back of a new song played live by Graham Coxon and Damon Albarn, and mere hours before a fully reunited Blur play the BRIT Awards, the band has been announced for an Olympics closer.
A retro poster popped up on Consequence Of Sound announcing a free concert featuring Blur, ska legends The Specials, and new wave icons New Order, to take place at Hyde Park in London on Sunday 12 August.
It’s the final show of a series of concerts going on during the London Olympics at Hyde Park, Victoria Park, and Trafalgar Square, and while it’s free, fans are asked to register at BTLondonLive.
