The original Beach Boys Brian Wilson, Mike Love and Al Jardine will come together for the first time in decades to celebrate 50 years with an album and a tour. They will be joined by Bruce Johnston, and David Marks.
The genius of Brian Wilson has certainly endured but will 50 gigs on an International Tour will be too much for him. Truly a larger undertaking but one worth the effort. Beach Boys fans around the world will be excited and thrilled to know they will have perhaps one last opportunity to see the surviving orginal members play together again. We hope Brian is up to it and that his journey on this tour is a safe one. There must be some nervous about the toll such a big tour might have on Brian Wilson.
The Beach Boys have already recorded several songs for their new album, to be released in 2012 by Capitol/EMI, with more tracks to be recorded before its completion. The as-yet-untitled album, the first to feature all of the band’s surviving original members in decades, is being produced by Brian Wilson and executive produced by Mike Love. Bless those Beach Boys.
